However, in pursuit of the American dream, my husband, my three kids, and I immigrated to the United States. To support my family, I worked as a vascular access and oncology nurse for almost two decades. When our kids became adults, the desire to become a provider resurfaced. That led me to go back to school to become a nurse practitioner.<\/p>\n<p>Being in the profession satisfies my dream of providing excellent and patient-centered care to each and every one.
